Job Summary
The IT & Security Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining our IT infrastructure while providing hands-on technical support to end users. This role combines hands-on technical support, infrastructure management, and foundational cybersecurity practices. This is an on-site role based in Rabieh, Lebanon, on a shift-based schedule (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM) as per business needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-user support (hardware, software, printers, and devices) in a corporate environment
- Troubleshoot issues in a timely and professional manner
- Manage and resolve tickets through the internal ticketing system
- Monitor and manage servers and daily backups
- Assist in maintaining network infrastructure
- Ensure proper documentation of issues, solutions, and processes
- Assist in developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize operations
- Monitor systems for security risks, vulnerabilities, and incidents
- Assist in managing access controls, permissions, and endpoint security
- Implement and maintain IT security measures, conduct security audits, and perform risk assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative solutions to avoid recurring problems
- Develop and maintain basic automation scripts to streamline IT operations, improve efficiency, and reduce manual tasks
- Manage and support CCTV and surveillance systems, including monitoring, maintenance, and controlled access to recordings in line with company policies
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer and Communications Engineering, or any other related field (cybersecurity preferred)
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Confident, proactive, and able to make decisions independently
- Experience working in a corporate environment
- Familiarity with ticketing systems
- Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), basic networking concepts, and IT security principles
- Certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+ / CompTIA Network+ or equivalent
